Controller and Sr. Controller

In this role, you will serve as the day-to-day point of contact for clients, providing strategic guidance and support to help them achieve their business objectives. You will also supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, helping to develop their skills and build a high-performing team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience working with fast-growing companies. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike. The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Be the day-to-day point of contact for several clients where you will:

  • Manage the monthly close and annual reporting process
  • Prepare investor and board related financial reports and decks
  • Produce budgets, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasts
  • Work with external Audit, Tax, and Valuation firms
  • Own and update the cap table
  • On board new employees and process payroll
  • Maintain census and employee records
  • Oversee the 401(k) plan, compliance, and reporting
  • Work with our benefits broker to setup and maintain health benefits
  • Maintain corporate insurance policies and other business administration responsibilities
  • Initially handle all A/P and vendor payments


Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA or Master’s preferred
  • CPA required; Big 4 or top tier public accounting firm audit experience preferred
  • Controller role requires 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, while Senior Controller role requires 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Previous experience working in Life Science or Technology companies desired
