Angela Driscoll

Prior to joining Browne Consulting, Angela was the Accounting Manager at Karuna Therapeutics, Inc., involved in accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. Additionally, she held responsibilities for managing month-end close processes, investments, leases, system implementations (ERP, procurement, and AP), SOX compliance, and more. This role built on her previous experience in public accounting as an auditor with Wolf & Company, P.C., having served banks, manufacturers, SAAS companies and other types of clients.

Angela joins the Launch Team to help with onboarding new clients and successfully transition them to permanent teams. In this role, Angela is able to advise new clients on operational accounting matters, system implementations, process improvements, initial budgeting, communications, and anything else that may be needed.

  • Q: What do you like about working for Browne Consulting and/or your clients?
  • A: Having experience in both public accounting and industry, I have found that the opportunity to work at Browne is the perfect combination of the two. In my last role, I was a part of a rapidly growing company. While it was exciting to see such growth, I realized how much I loved and appreciated the early phase. Working on the Launch Team specifically gives me the opportunity to help clients in their earliest moments, to ensure that they are set up for success going forward.
  • Q: What are you passionate about outside of work?
  • A: Outside of work, I am passionate about yoga and meditation. I received my RYT 200 certification in 2021 and have been teaching a yoga class every Sunday morning since then. The practice has had a profound impact on me throughout the last few years, helping to improve balance, both physically and mentally, and to promote mindfulness throughout my daily life.
  • Q: Do you like to travel? What was your favorite trip? Or what is your favorite upcoming trip?
  • A: My absolute favorite place in the world to travel to is Ireland! I have a lot of extended family living there and have been fortunate enough to visit quite a few times growing up. If you ever have the opportunity to drive along the Ring of Kerry, I cannot recommend it enough! It is truly such a beautiful place.

Mark Mele, CPA, MSA

Controller

Mark Mele brings over eight years of accounting and finance experience to Browne Consulting Group. Mark joined our team as a Controller, and now leads a team of one overseeing several newer clients who eagerly await their next significant R&D milestones. His areas of expertise are operational accounting, audit/tax preparation and support, accounting system implementation, management/investor financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts.

Prior to Browne Consulting Group, Mark worked at RSM in the Assurance practice serving clients in the renewable energy, manufacturing, and construction industries. After RSM, Mark worked at Cambridge Health Alliance as an Accounting Manager.

Q: What is your favorite quote or mantra, and why?

A: “Be a goldfish” – Ted Lasso

According to Ted Lasso, the happiest animal on Earth is a goldfish because it has a ten second memory. While one should learn from their mistakes, there is no need to dwell on them. Learn and move on.

Q: What are you passionate about outside of work?

A: I play in numerous recreational sports leagues.
