Ashley Addona brings more than four years of experience to Browne Consulting. She advises clients on operational accounting matters and audit preparation. Ashley writes, “I like working for Browne because I enjoy the flexibility of working remote, the work/life balance, the structure of the teams, the life science industry, and the satisfaction of working alongside my clients and watching their successes.” Prior to Browne Consulting, Ashley Addona worked at PwC performing audits within the insurance industry primarily focusing on P&C insurance, reinsurance, and retirement.

Mark Mele, CPA, MSA

Controller

Mark Mele brings over eight years of accounting and finance experience to Browne Consulting Group. Mark joined our team as a Controller, and now leads a team of one overseeing several newer clients who eagerly await their next significant R&D milestones. His areas of expertise are operational accounting, audit/tax preparation and support, accounting system implementation, management/investor financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts.

Prior to Browne Consulting Group, Mark worked at RSM in the Assurance practice serving clients in the renewable energy, manufacturing, and construction industries. After RSM, Mark worked at Cambridge Health Alliance as an Accounting Manager.

Q: What is your favorite quote or mantra, and why?

A: “Be a goldfish” – Ted Lasso

According to Ted Lasso, the happiest animal on Earth is a goldfish because it has a ten second memory. While one should learn from their mistakes, there is no need to dwell on them. Learn and move on.

Q: What are you passionate about outside of work?

A: I play in numerous recreational sports leagues.
