Carolyn Wilson
Prior to joining Browne Consulting, Carolyn spent 11 years in the defense industry, where she held various Accounting and Finance roles. Most recently, Carolyn was the Senior Manager of financial accounting at BAE Systems, overseeing the general ledger and financial reporting, as well as operational accounting for payroll, accounts payable and travel & expense. During her time at BAE, Carolyn also held roles in corporate tax and program control, where she supported budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis. Prior to BAE, she started my career in public accounting at Blum, Shapiro & Company, P.C. Carolyn served clients in both an audit and tax capacity and gained exposure to various industries from retail and manufacturing to nonprofit.

Mark Mele, CPA, MSA

Controller

Mark Mele brings over eight years of accounting and finance experience to Browne Consulting Group. Mark joined our team as a Controller, and now leads a team of one overseeing several newer clients who eagerly await their next significant R&D milestones. His areas of expertise are operational accounting, audit/tax preparation and support, accounting system implementation, management/investor financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts.

Prior to Browne Consulting Group, Mark worked at RSM in the Assurance practice serving clients in the renewable energy, manufacturing, and construction industries. After RSM, Mark worked at Cambridge Health Alliance as an Accounting Manager.

Q: What is your favorite quote or mantra, and why?

A: “Be a goldfish” – Ted Lasso

According to Ted Lasso, the happiest animal on Earth is a goldfish because it has a ten second memory. While one should learn from their mistakes, there is no need to dwell on them. Learn and move on.

Q: What are you passionate about outside of work?

A: I play in numerous recreational sports leagues.
