Her expertise in auditing has enabled her to efficiently assess and mitigate risk, while enhancing internal controls and processes within various client organizations. With meticulous attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, Danitra has successfully guided multiple manufacturing companies through complex financial audits, ensuring accurate and transparent reporting. Danitra’s proficiency in the retail sector has been vital in supporting organizations to navigate rapid changes in the industry, optimizing financial performance, and identifying potential areas of improvement. In higher education, she worked closely with the University, conducting financial assessments to ensure compliance with regulations and make recommendations for operational enhancements. Mark Mele, CPA, MSA

Controller

Mark Mele brings over eight years of accounting and finance experience to Browne Consulting Group. Mark joined our team as a Controller, and now leads a team of one overseeing several newer clients who eagerly await their next significant R&D milestones. His areas of expertise are operational accounting, audit/tax preparation and support, accounting system implementation, management/investor financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts.

Prior to Browne Consulting Group, Mark worked at RSM in the Assurance practice serving clients in the renewable energy, manufacturing, and construction industries. After RSM, Mark worked at Cambridge Health Alliance as an Accounting Manager.

Q: What is your favorite quote or mantra, and why?

A: “Be a goldfish” – Ted Lasso

According to Ted Lasso, the happiest animal on Earth is a goldfish because it has a ten second memory. While one should learn from their mistakes, there is no need to dwell on them. Learn and move on.

Q: What are you passionate about outside of work?

A: I play in numerous recreational sports leagues.
