Before joining Browne Consulting, Kinsey gained valuable expertise in FSO Assurance within the Wealth and Asset Management sector. Her primary focus was on auditing large mutual funds, but she also acquired extensive experience working with hedge funds and private equity funds. With a strong foundation built over 2 years in this field, Kinsey brings a wealth of intelligence and accounting acumen to Browne Consulting, enhancing our ability to serve our life science clients effectively.
  • Q. Why did you choose to work in the life science industry?
  • A: As an accountant, sometimes I struggled with feeling like I cannot make an impact on the world. Moving into the life science industry, especially working with start-ups, seemed like a great way to bring more purpose to my career.
  • Q: What attribute would you rank as number one for professional success?
  • A: Adaptability – things are always changing, and I think those who are quickest to accept and respond to changes make the most successful leaders.
  • Q: Do you like to travel? What was your favorite trip? Or what is your favorite upcoming trip?
  • A: I love to travel. My junior year of College I had the opportunity to study abroad in Barcelona with my identical twin sister. Barcelona is the most amazing city and I intend on going back to visit very soon. During our four months abroad, we were able to visit several amazing cities across Europe. My favorite trips were to London, Stockholm, Nice, Paris, and the Swiss Alps to ski.

Mark Mele, CPA, MSA

Controller

Mark Mele brings over eight years of accounting and finance experience to Browne Consulting Group. Mark joined our team as a Controller, and now leads a team of one overseeing several newer clients who eagerly await their next significant R&D milestones. His areas of expertise are operational accounting, audit/tax preparation and support, accounting system implementation, management/investor financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts.

Prior to Browne Consulting Group, Mark worked at RSM in the Assurance practice serving clients in the renewable energy, manufacturing, and construction industries. After RSM, Mark worked at Cambridge Health Alliance as an Accounting Manager.

Q: What is your favorite quote or mantra, and why?

A: “Be a goldfish” – Ted Lasso

According to Ted Lasso, the happiest animal on Earth is a goldfish because it has a ten second memory. While one should learn from their mistakes, there is no need to dwell on them. Learn and move on.

Q: What are you passionate about outside of work?

A: I play in numerous recreational sports leagues.
