  • Q: Do you like to travel? What was your favorite trip? Or what is your favorite upcoming trip?
  • A: My favorite upcoming trip is that I am going to visit two of my close college friends who moved to Scottsdale Arizona. I've heard Scottsdale is a super cool place, and I have never been out West. We are also planning to attend the Waste Management Open golf tournament.
  • Q: What's a book you'd recommend to others and why?
  • A: I would recommend Into the Wild, it is a great book about a true story. It really makes you think about what is important to you.
  • Q: What's a quality that you admire in others?
  • A: Kindness, you can't control what other people do or how they treat you, but you can always choose to be kind to others.

Mark Mele, CPA, MSA

Controller

Mark Mele brings over eight years of accounting and finance experience to Browne Consulting Group. Mark joined our team as a Controller, and now leads a team of one overseeing several newer clients who eagerly await their next significant R&D milestones. His areas of expertise are operational accounting, audit/tax preparation and support, accounting system implementation, management/investor financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts.

Prior to Browne Consulting Group, Mark worked at RSM in the Assurance practice serving clients in the renewable energy, manufacturing, and construction industries. After RSM, Mark worked at Cambridge Health Alliance as an Accounting Manager.

Q: What is your favorite quote or mantra, and why?

A: “Be a goldfish” – Ted Lasso

According to Ted Lasso, the happiest animal on Earth is a goldfish because it has a ten second memory. While one should learn from their mistakes, there is no need to dwell on them. Learn and move on.

Q: What are you passionate about outside of work?

A: I play in numerous recreational sports leagues.
