Paige Hovsepian joined Browne Consulting to gain “exposure in different areas [while] working with different types of clients. There is always something new coming up, which keeps work more interesting.” She shares, “it is great to see these small start-up life science companies grow and create life changing technologies. I enjoy working in the life science industry because our clients’ discoveries are life-changing for many individuals. It is amazing to see the work they are doing, and it feels good to be a small part of it. [Our clients’ work] is so different from what we do for work in the accounting world that it is interesting to see what these companies can do.” Prior to joining Browne Consulting, Paige worked within the technology group of RSM Audit and with a larger biotech company which began her interest in the industry.

  • Q: What are you passionate about outside of work?
  • A:I have always been huge into sports. I was lucky enough to play softball at the collegiate level for two years and after that coaching both softball and field hockey for my hometown high school varsity teams. I am passionate when it comes to athletes that want to learn and become better on the field and off. I have volunteered a lot of my time with young athletes to develop and improve in their sport and in the classroom. I also love traveling. My favorite trip was when I was able to study abroad for one month in Italy my junior year of college. My favorite experience from the time I was there was visiting the Amalfi coast. It was more amazing than pictures can do justice and the boat tours they have are a great way to see all the unbelievable views.

Mark Mele, CPA, MSA

Controller

Mark Mele brings over eight years of accounting and finance experience to Browne Consulting Group. Mark joined our team as a Controller, and now leads a team of one overseeing several newer clients who eagerly await their next significant R&D milestones. His areas of expertise are operational accounting, audit/tax preparation and support, accounting system implementation, management/investor financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts.

Prior to Browne Consulting Group, Mark worked at RSM in the Assurance practice serving clients in the renewable energy, manufacturing, and construction industries. After RSM, Mark worked at Cambridge Health Alliance as an Accounting Manager.

Q: What is your favorite quote or mantra, and why?

A: “Be a goldfish” – Ted Lasso

According to Ted Lasso, the happiest animal on Earth is a goldfish because it has a ten second memory. While one should learn from their mistakes, there is no need to dwell on them. Learn and move on.

Q: What are you passionate about outside of work?

A: I play in numerous recreational sports leagues.
