Warren Browne

Warren brings almost 20 years of Accounting, Finance, and HR experience to Browne Consulting. Since founding the company in 2016, he has lead its growth to a 50 person firm, while supporting over 100 clients. Warren has consulted on dozens of venture backed companies from incorporation, advised companies as they grew through Series A, and supported companies going public or being acquired.

Prior to Browne Consulting, Warren held CFO and Director of Finance positions at fast growing companies. In these roles, he oversaw all accounting, finance, and HR activity for the US entities. Previous to that, Warren worked in Controller and Manager roles in varying industries, serving in an operational accounting capacity.

Mark Mele, CPA, MSA

Controller

Mark Mele brings over eight years of accounting and finance experience to Browne Consulting Group. Mark joined our team as a Controller, and now leads a team of one overseeing several newer clients who eagerly await their next significant R&D milestones. His areas of expertise are operational accounting, audit/tax preparation and support, accounting system implementation, management/investor financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts.

Prior to Browne Consulting Group, Mark worked at RSM in the Assurance practice serving clients in the renewable energy, manufacturing, and construction industries. After RSM, Mark worked at Cambridge Health Alliance as an Accounting Manager.

Q: What is your favorite quote or mantra, and why?

A: “Be a goldfish” – Ted Lasso

According to Ted Lasso, the happiest animal on Earth is a goldfish because it has a ten second memory. While one should learn from their mistakes, there is no need to dwell on them. Learn and move on.

Q: What are you passionate about outside of work?

A: I play in numerous recreational sports leagues.
